Taking on Toronto

Canadian triathlete Simon Whitfield announced Monday at an event on the Toronto waterfront that he will compete in the first-ever Toronto Triathlon Festival, July 22, 2012. It will be Whitfield's final competition before taking part in the London 2012 Olympic Games. Whitfield will contest the sprint event in Toronto as a final pre-Olympic tune up. Full Story.

Tough Situation

Canada's quest to qualify for the men's Olympic field hockey tournament was dealt a blow Wednesday with a 3-2 loss to India. The loss dropped Canada into fourth place in the six-team tournament. The team now needs a victory versus France on Friday to keep alive any hope of playing in London. Full Story.
